George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead

George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead, 3 out of 4 stars
Jason:72000 hits in 8 minutes, they're not getting the truth from anyone, all the news is a lie. All over the world, people learning how to survive by seeing how we've managed to survive.

This movie is directed by the legendary zombie movie maker, George A. Romero who brought you his masterpiece "Dawn of the Dead" in 1978, "Land of the Dead" in 2005 and more. Now, his latest horror film "Diary of the Dead", filming style just like "Cloverfield" but they are not using digital camera of course, now their using Panasonic HDX-900 and HBX-200. The movie begins with a news about the dead of one family, and suddenly they woke up and comes out with a dead walking people which we called ZOMBIE! After that, the movie introduce Jason, a student who want to be a filmmaker are filming a zombie movie with his friends in the jungle. After that, they heard a news about the dead are returning to life and started killing everyone in the city, and they make their ways to the only safety zone, their home. This movie filmed only by two cameras and few parts of the movie is from hand phone camera. Besides that, the whole movie is not just two person filming until the end, it also shows us some documentaries, and talk about the media which lie to the people about the real situation, and Jason try to post this movie to the website to tell people the truth. This movie is different from "Cloverfield". "Cloverifield" is intense, but this movie is slow and it will make you frightened. This movie don't have shaky camera technique, and many scene are quite frightening. Although this movie is not very intense but when you watching every moment in the movie, you will not want this movie come to a stop. Other than that, the make up for the zombie is excellent, and there will be a lot of blood and gore. Overall, although this movie is not as intense as "Cloverfield", but if you like "Cloverfield" and "Blair Witch Project" you sure will like this one. It is a nice horror genre film. I like it.
